Hey There!

Today as been a pretty normal, (busy day).

Such as-laundry, school, farm work, playing with the cutest lil' siblings and niece, and as you can see blogging. ;)

Living in a bigger family there are always messes to clean up, loud noises, things to do,
and did I mention loud noises? ;) Yes, there is a four year old screaming in my ear... :))

I can also find that hard days, and not-so-fun moments can be learning experiences.
Not that I always make them that, but we all have a choice.
There have been (many) times I've blown it, but I can still try it again with the Lord's help.

I am blessed to live in my family, and I would not change it for the world. Living in a larger one can be a lot of fun, with many learning experiences. ;)

~Biblical Modesty~

As Christians we are commanded by God to be modest. It is our job to be obedient to God in the way we dress, just as much as the way we act. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

We are ladies so let's act like them. If we flaunt ourselves immodestly to the world we will  gain no respect.  You will get attention, but not the right kind.

There is a saying that says dressing immodestly is like rolling in manure. You will get attention, but only from pigs.  You can also read Proverbs 11:22.

I think that says it quite well!;)
But you may still be asking, so what really is modesty anyway?

Modesty means to be free from undue familiarity, from indecency, from lewdness, pure in thought and conduct. Speaking of modest apparel, it means decent, seemly. The opposite of modesty is conceit, boldness, immodesty, brazenness, lewdness. ~Elisabeth Elliot~

Although, you may already be perfectly modest on the outside, but what about on the inside?
As my parents have said before you can be wearing a skirt down to your ankles on the outside, but wearing short shorts on the inside. It's your heart that really matters, because whatever is in your heart is eventually going to come out. So we must not be holier than thou because we are more modest than the person next to us, or because we don't wear a bikini.
What we wear doesn't make us any better than the next person.

Being modest is more than what we wear, it's how we act, what we do, and what we say.
                                                             ~Proverbs 31:30~

                                                                   Blessings,

Hey there!

So it's official... I am the worst blogger ever! My goal for 2017 is to post a bit more regularly!

Anyways.... Several weeks ago my family and I went to the Ark encounter, it was amazing! Much more realistic that those little tub boats they put in children's books with all the animals sticking out. Here are some pictures.
